My New Love:

She’s like that. Full of good stuff. Like a hamper on Christmas day.

Let me introduce you to my new love. It’s less than a week, but we’re inseparable. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a flash in the pan, a holiday romance. We have been friends for several years. She used to visit me from time to time. That was, of course, before we became intimate.

Now, we go to sleep together, wake up together, do everything together. It’s like seeing the world through a new set of eyes. Isn’t it strange? One has someone in one’s life and doesn’t know what’s under one’s nose? Anyway, the past is the past; as she keeps telling me. Time to look at the future, move on.

She’s like that. Full of good stuff. Like a hamper on Christmas day. However, I’m realistic. I know she won’t be around forever. She keeps telling me that I’ll be better off without her and I kind of agree. Life can never continue to be this intense.

Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy the time we have together and savour every second, like an exquisite dessert. She tells me to be constructive, love myself and the rest will fall into place.

I know it sounds too good to be true and I’m an incurable romantic, (her words, not mine). I just can’t help myself. That’s why I’m telling you, my friends; sometimes the best things are in front of you and you don’t notice them until it’s too late. Fortunately for me, I discovered her just in time.

So, raise a glass to my new love. My treasure. My passion.

Oh, her name? I suppose there’s no harm in telling you. You’ve probably met already. She’s everybody’s friend.

May I introduce, Depression♥️
